St. Michael’s Youth Conference

St. Michael’s Youth Conference

This is an annual event in the Anglican tradition for youth aged 13–19. Over its thirty-three conferences since 1987, St Michael’s has formed a vibrant community within the Anglican church in the Maritimes. Together, participants pray, study and play. Our conference participants – or Michaelites! – don’t do things by half measures. When we worship, we worship God reverently in spirit and truth. When we study, we challenge ourselves to learn deeply. When we kick back for games and activities, we make sure that we have a blast.

Since 2022, St Michael’s Youth Conference has been held at Camp Medley, located at Upper Gagetown N.B., a facility which the Bishop of Fredericton has generously allowed us to use. Camp Medley has waterfront access to the St. John River, facilities for outdoor activities, a supervised swimming pool, a large dining hall, comfortable cabins, and a chapel.

The Anglican Book of Common Prayer sets the daily rhythm of the conference. Participants pause for prayer three times each day, to read the scriptures and to give thanks for all that we receive from God.
